About The Event
Tīrama ana mai ngā whetū o te ata. Ko Puanga kei runga, Takurua kei runga, koia ko Matariki e tīaho iho nei. Explore the wonders of Matariki through stargazing and storytelling in this special event, hosted in collaboration with the Tauranga Astronomical Society and STEM Wana Trust. Discover the stars that guided our tīpuna, hear pūrākau of Matariki, and deepen your understanding of the connections between science and mātauranga Māori.

This event has two sessions, one starting at 5:30pm and one starting at 7.00pm. Your ticket is only valid for one session.
Tauranga Astronomical Society is located in the Ōtūmoetai Sports and Recreation Club building in Fergusson Park.
When: Monday, 17 June 2025. Two sessions: 5.30pm – 6.30pm and 7.00pm – 8.00pm
