About The Event
Enjoy lunchtime Matariki kapa haka performances from Te Kura o Manunui kapa haka and University of Waikato students in the lead up to Matariki. The first performance will be from Te Kura o Manunui on Friday, 13 June from 12.00pm - 12.30pm at the Waterfront North (on the field). The second performance will be with University of Waikato students in front of the sculpture Te Rauhea at Waihīrere (Red Square) on Tuesday, 17 June from 12.00 – 12.30pm. Following this session there will be a free public lecture about Matariki at the University of Waikato’s Tauranga Campus from 12.30pm – 1.30pm.
When: Two performances - Friday, 13 June 2025, 12.00pm – 12.30pm and Tuesday, 17 June 2025, 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Where: Tauranga Waterfront and Waihīrere (Red Square)
