About The Event
Mount Mainstreet is proud to present the Midwinter Solstice from 20-22 June in Mount Maunganui. Timed with the shortest day of the year, the three-day event aligns with the spirit of Matariki, encouraging reflection and renewal, and is set to be a celebration of the season.
Through a mix of creative, cultural and community experiences, locals and visitors will have the chance to pause, connect, and embrace the returning light together. Delivered in collaboration with local groups and Mount Mainstreet businesses, marking the solstice honours the unique energy of our slice of paradise.
