Te Ao Mārama-Tauranga Libraries is excited to host author Qiane Matata -Sipu to share with us her newest pukapuka. 'Ngā kupenga a Nanny Rina/Nanny Rina and her amazing nets' is a heartwarming story about aroha, whānau, passing down traditional knowledge and welcoming in the new year. This will be a live reading in both te reo Māori and English. Qiane Matata-Sipu (Te Waiohua ki Te Ahiwaru me Te Ākitai, Waikato, Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Pikiao, Cook Islands) is an esteemed Māori-Pasifika creative, storyteller, and award-winning journalist and photographer. This storytime is part of the Waitī Waitā Wairākei Matariki celebration day.
